I’m Dave Thomas/@pragdave.

I write books.1 I was one of the creators of The Manifesto For Agile Software Development. I speak at conferences around the world.

But mostly I program, and think about what it means to be a programmer. I think about why we insist on making software development harder than it should be, and I write about ways of simplifying it. I think about teams and organizations, and how they can be more effective in this post-Agile world. And I think about the future, and the technologies that I feel will be significant (both good and bad).

I’ll be writing and making videos about these and other topics. Many will be free, but subscribers will get full access to every article, video, and, over time, the archives.

There’s an extra-special thank-you gift for founding subscribers, too!

Who are you?

You’re involved with the development of software: a programmer, team lead, project manager, domain expert….

You care about your work, and you want to explore ways of making it better. You want to read articles and watch videos that will give you new insights, and that will occasionally piss you off.

You’d like to be part of a community of like minded people.

And you’d like to make it be fun.
